SOUNDPAINTING MADRID

SPAIN (Madrid)

LEADER: Ricardo Gassent

DISCIPLINE: Music / Dance / Theatre / Visual arts

SoundpaintingMadrid, awarded the Tres Cantos City Culture Prize in 2016, is an initiative founded by Ricardo Gassent in 2014 with the goal of promoting and developing Soundpainting in Spain. The initiative focuses on both professional artistic creation and interpretation, as well as its application in amateur and educational contexts. SoundpaintingMadrid was created to foster collaboration and integration among various institutions, groups, and individuals involved or interested in Soundpainting, both within Spain and internationally, particularly within the European Union. Since January 2015, it has been a “Resident Project” in Tres Cantos, supported by the city council’s commitment to contemporary creation. In 2018, it began organizing Soundpainting Certification exams in collaboration with Walter Thompson. SoundpaintingMadrid also hosted and organized the Soundpainting Think Tanks in 2019 and 2023.
